Our Mission
Legal help should be accessible to everyone — not just those who can afford an attorney.
Otra Legal is a marketplace platform connecting cost-burdened consumers with licensed alternative legal providers in states where non-attorney legal help is authorized by law. We believe access to the legal system is a right, not a privilege determined by income. We built Otra to close the gap between people who need help and the licensed professionals who can provide it — affordably, transparently, and safely.
The Founder
Stacey M. Lake
Stacey Lake has spent her career at the intersection of legal services, legal technology, and platform entrepreneurship. She is the founder of Lawfecta and Legal Stacey Consulting.
Stacey brings hands-on experience building and operating legal marketplaces, deep familiarity with the regulatory landscape governing alternative legal providers, and direct relationships community.
Access to justice is not a side interest for Stacey. It is the core thread running through every venture she has built and the reason Otra exists.
